CEThe Companion Editan independent pet-care field journal

ABOUT

A field journal for living well with pets

The Companion Edit is an independent pet-care publication for people who want a calmer relationship with advice. We cover the ordinary work of living with dogs, cats and the households around them: meals, routes, rest, equipment, behaviour, adoption and the questions that belong with a veterinary professional.

Our editorial promise is simple. We will tell you what a piece is trying to answer, show the limits of general information and link to the organisations whose guidance shaped the work. We do not diagnose animals, manufacture experts or turn a product mention into a recommendation without explaining the trade-off.

The site is written in English for a broad audience. It is designed as a practical field journal, with dated dispatches, durable guides and category pages that help readers move from a question to a useful next step. The work is funded and reviewed according to the policies published on this site.

What we cover

Dogs, Cats, Health & Wellness, Nutrition, Training & Behaviour, Gear & Home, and Everyday Pet Life are broad desks rather than narrow silos. A story may cross them because real care does. A food question can be a health question; a harness decision can change a training plan; an adoption choice changes the home.

Who it is for

The reader may be bringing home a first cat, refining a familiar dog routine or preparing for a better conversation at the clinic. We write for curious people, not for a single ideal household.

How to reach us
